Electrical recycling

Computers and components should not be placed in household rubbish. Reuse and responsible recycling recover useful materials and reduce harmful waste.

Take-back route must be confirmed before launch

FlipFlop must configure either its qualifying free like-for-like take-back service or eligible Distributor Takeback Scheme membership before selling electrical equipment to households.

Do not post equipment without instructions

PCs, lithium batteries and damaged electrical items can require special handling. Do not send equipment until FlipFlop confirms the address, packaging and carrier route. Remove personal data and accounts where possible; ask us if you need guidance.

Other recycling routes

You can use your local authority household recycling centre or another authorised electrical recycling collection point. The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol means the item should be collected separately from ordinary household waste.

Recycling is different from a return or upgrade

A recycling request does not cancel a purchase, start a warranty claim or authorise work on your existing computer. Contact us to agree the correct route first. Check the official retailer take-back guidance and your local authority's electrical recycling information. We do not describe a trade-in discount or collection service as available unless we have expressly offered it.
