Essential storage

We use browser storage and essential cookies for functions you request, including account sign-in, security, cart contents, saved build choices, checkout progress, theme preferences and remembering your cookie choice. Disabling these in your browser may stop parts of the shop working.

Storage used by this storefront

Name / typePurposeDuration
flipflop.cookie-consent.v1 · cookieYour accepted/rejected analytics choiceUp to one year; replaced when you change your choice
auth_token · local storageKeep your requested signed-in sessionUntil sign-out or browser clearing; the server can expire the token separately
flipflop.cart · local storageRemember the PCs in your cartUntil removed, cleared or browser storage is deleted
flipflop.pendingCheckout · session storageCarry a configuration into checkoutUntil cleared by the checkout flow or the browser tab session ends
flipflop.analytics-session.v1 · session storageGroup Playbook build views and choices into one pseudonymous tab session, only after you accept analyticsUntil the browser tab session ends
flipflop-theme · local storageYour selected light/dark appearanceUntil changed or browser storage is cleared

Local storage has no automatic browser expiry. Server-saved builds and order records are covered by the privacy notice, rather than this browser-storage table.

Optional analytics

With your permission, Google Tag Manager may load analytics tags, and FlipFlop records Playbook build views, selected cases and components, cart additions, delivery choices and checkout starts. First-party journey events use a random pseudonymous identifier held in session storage until the tab closes; they do not include your name, email, address or payment details. The event records are deleted after 90 days. These analytics do not load or record until you select “Accept analytics”. Rejecting or withdrawing consent stops future collection and does not affect shopping.

Analytics cookies and provider information

Google Tag Manager manages tags; the actual cookies depend on the analytics tags enabled in its container. Google Analytics tags, where enabled, can use names such as _ga, _ga_*, _gid and _gat. The exact set and expiry depend on that tag's configuration. We do not describe marketing pixels or advertising tags as essential. See Google's cookie information and Stripe's privacy information for those providers' processing.

Third-party services

Stripe and sign-in providers may use storage that is necessary to provide payment, fraud-prevention or authentication services when you choose to use them. Their own privacy and cookie notices apply to their processing.

Change your choice

You can reopen the consent panel at any time. Rejecting optional cookies stops FlipFlop loading future analytics tags on this device. You can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings.
