The right specification ยท 2 min read

The best upgrade can be no upgrade.

A better PC starts with what you do, rather than the biggest number on a box.

A budget is a ceiling, not a target we have to spend. The right specification gives your actual work or games the resources they need, without paying for capability you will not use.

Tell us about your games and display, the applications you work in, or the local AI models you want to run. Those details help determine whether graphics, processor performance, memory or storage deserves more of your budget.

Ask what a proposed upgrade changes for you. More storage may mean room for your projects; more memory may make your particular workload practical. A more expensive part should come with a reason, rather than an assumption that it must be better value.

Already own a PC? An assessment may identify useful parts worth keeping. Compare that route before replacing the whole machine.
